When Mahiro Ichiki went back to her husband's family home for Obon vacation, she thought she'd have a nice, peaceful week getting reacquainted with her husband, Kenji. But he bailed on her almost immediately to hook up with an old fling. She was alone and heartbroken, and she found herself crying in the empty kitchen, which felt like the heart of the house.
That was when *he* walked in.
Kenji's older brother, Tatsuya, was still raw from his own recent divorce. His wife had cheated on him, and he was still dealing with it. When he saw Mahiro's tear-streaked face, they shared an unspoken understanding of loneliness and rejection.

From then on, every moment alone was a risk. They had quick, breathless trysts behind closed doors while the family slept. Tatsuya's rough hands traced the curve of Mahiro's waist under her yukata. Her moans, muffled against his shoulder, were like music to his ears. The thrill of secrecy made every touch electric.
But they also felt guilty. Kenji, clueless, would brag about his flings, oblivious to the fact that his wife and brother were drowning in each other. At dinner, Mahiro's fingers would shake as she passed Tatsuya a bowl, and their eyes locked for a second too long.
Then came the morning Tatsuya pinned her against the fridge, his voice rough: "We can't keep doing this."But when Mahiro whispered "I know," it wasn't regret—it was fear. She was afraid someone would hear. Fear that they'd stop.

The sadness that starts with her husband's betrayal is slowly filled by the intense time she spends with her brother-in-law. The emotional rollercoaster is so intense, it'll leave you dizzy. The unstoppable desires clashing day and night are like a storm. It's ironic and brilliant how the kitchen, a symbol of everyday life, becomes a hot spot for infidelity. The mix of sadness and passion is so intense, it's like a storm in your head!
